If the hair fibers you collect are brushings from the undercoat, the best way to pack them is in a padded envelope.

If your pet's hair fibers come from being clipped or shaved, then it is best to ship them in a box. The cut hair fibers tend to get matted or "felt" together (especially cat hair) when it gets packed down. To prevent this from happening, pack the hair in a box large enough for the fibers to "breathe" and remain as fluffy as possible.
