Every day at The Catty Shack, large quantities of unwanted cat hair are collected and disposed of. For years, there were ideas tossed around for ways to recycle the cat hair fibers into something useful and unique.

The idea for cat hair handbags was born, when a friend asked about clipping her Angora Bunny so that the hair fibers could be spun into yarn. With her help, hours of research and practice, we were successful.

Using these new yarn-spinning skills and a lifetime of experience in knitting and felting, Catty Shack Creations was born!

These hand designed creations are thoughtfully crafted from your own pet’s hair fibers. Each handbag is embellished to reflect the natural beauty and personality of your pet. Even if you don’t have pet hair, we can still create one for you.

Beware of Dog! While we do not groom our canine friends at The Catty Shack, we maintain the ability and skill to craft these one-of-a-kind keepsakes out of dog hair fibers as well.
