We do not have any photos of Buddha. He is a Ragdoll with a luxuriously silky coat. His hair was wonderful to spin and made a gorgeous bag!


Below are hand carders used in preparing the hair fibers for spinning. Although we have a drum carder to speed up this time-consuming step, we find that cat and dog hair fibers are best carded by hand.

The results of carding are these rolags of pet hair fibers that are then used for spinning. We separate the different colors of an animal's hair whenever possible in order to add more beauty to the final product. Since Buddha is color-pointed, we made rolags of both the main cream-colored part of his coat and the darker color-pointing.

Buddha gave us enough hair to create a Small Handbag as well as a matching Mini-Scrapster.
