Q: What about people who are allergic to cat or dog hair?

A. All hair fibers are freshly washed prior to being shaved from the dog or cat, and all allergens/dander have already been removed. Additionally, the handbag is felted, meaning it has been run through the washing machine numerous times before it is complete. As a result, your unique creation is hypoallergenic!


Q: Can the handbag be washed later on?

A: No. Due to the embellishments, decor and trim that is included in the design of your bag, Catty Shack Creations recommends Dry Clean Only for your handbag.


Q: What is carding?

A: Carding is the process of “combing” all of the pet hair fibers in the same direction to prepare them for spinning. It aids in removing any small knots or hidden debris from the hair and helps blend different colors of fibers together.


Q: What are the dimensions of the different handbags sizes? [All dimensions are approximate. Size is based on yarn ounces and pattern used. Finished shape and dimensions vary greatly based on pet hair type.]

Q: How long does it take to get the finished handbag back?

A: Please allow 3 weeks from the time we receive your fibers to the time we ship your completed handbag back to you. We are often able to complete the bag in less time and will do so if possible.
